Singer, writer, dancer, actor and performer — the chapters change, but the thread running through Ruben’s career has always been connection through performance.
Curaçao
The beginning.
Born on the Caribbean island of Curaçao, Ruben started singing and dancing as a child before moving toward professional performance.
Amsterdam
Training becomes craft.
He moved to Amsterdam for theatre school, developing the stage discipline that would later connect music, acting and movement.
Europe
Musical theatre & touring.
Lead roles in productions including Fame, Jesus Christ Superstar, Hair and Daddy Cool sat alongside international touring and stage work.
2018 / 2019
The Voice of Holland.
A four-chair blind audition with “Another Day” became a new public chapter. Ruben chose Team Anouk.
2019
Always on My Mind.
The release crossed the million-stream mark, showing that Ruben’s own catalogue could travel well beyond the room it was performed in.
