Ruben Anthony

Imagine if A tribe called Quest, Graig David and D'Angelo had a baby. That's FutuRe ParAdox, Ruben Anthony's latest project FutuRe ParAdox.

Working together with Leon Sherman, Rushan West, Boyd, The Producer & Mitchell Yard, this team created a mix of 90's hip hop infused R&B with Soul en Smooth Harmonies.

Born on the Caribbean Island of Curaçao, Ruben started singing and dancing when he was 7 years old.

At 15 he had his first performance on Dutch national television for the Miss Beautiful Black Pageant. At 18 Ruben moved to Amsterdam where he was accepted to the Theater School. After school Ruben has toured with Ruth Jacott, Enrique Iglesias and Mr. President.

Ruben played the lead role in the musicals Fame, Jesus Christ Superstar and Hair in Austria and Daddy Cool in Holland. Proving to his audiences that he is a true triple threat.

His first album Exceptional was released in 2006. The single Be My Lady hit the charts at no.5 in Austria. He executive produced his next two albums In My Room, Take It All and went on to write two songs for the musical Carmen Cubana.

Ruben was part of the Soul Brothers Tour in Holland, which was followed by the successful Soul & Disco Brothers tour and Soul Celebration Tour with sold out crowds in the prestigious Amsterdam Carré and Oude Luxor in Rotterdam as well as two performances at “DE WERELD DRAAIT DOOR”.

 

On TV Ruben has been a featured actor in the RTL4 series “Meisje van Plezier”, Flikken Maastricht and Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden

In 2019 Ruben was part of Team Anouk in the Voice of Holland and he released his song Always on my mind with over 1million streams to date. In the same year he produced a music documentary called Home.

 

For Future Paradox Ruben had a camera crew follow him for a year for the making of the album.

This exciting music doc ( yet untitled ) is set to premiere worldwide Sept 2022.
